Hey everyone, Michael LaFido here! I had an amazing time on the road last week in Texas at the DASH Conference and I'm pumped to share some of my biggest takeaways with you. This trip was an incredible learning experience, and I was fortunate enough to be alongside some industry heavyweights like Bill Pipes—a former top coach for Mike Ferry—and Michael Valdez, who’s played significant roles in growing major companies like Realogy and EXP. I even got to present in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston!
The first big takeaway I want to share is that P plus E equals B. That's right: People plus Environment equals your Be, or in other words, your behaviors and habits. The people you surround yourself with and the environment you immerse yourself in directly shape your day-to-day actions. If you’re hanging out with overachievers, you’re likely to become one yourself. It’s such a great reminder of how crucial your inner circle is to your success.
Another important point is understanding the current market conditions. Did you know that historically about 5.3 million homes sell annually in the U.S.? But from last August to this August, that number dropped to 3.9 million. With fewer homes selling, supply is limited, which pushes demand up and helps keep home prices strong. It’s essential to grasp these numbers and trends to navigate the market effectively.
Lastly, let's talk about your authority score. Before clients meet you, they’re going to look you up online—your website, blog, LinkedIn, and even YouTube presence. Are you making a strong impression? Having someone more experienced audit your online presence can really help you understand where you stand and what improvements you can make.
