The evolution of a real estate agent mirrors the well-known concept of human evolution, progressing through various stages of development and specialization. Having observed and studied real estate agents for over 20 years, it's evident that their careers typically begin at the lower price points, dealing with rentals and buyers. Initially, agents focus on working with entry-level transactions and then gradually transition to average price transactions, still primarily representing buyers.

As agents gain experience, a sudden realization occurs: listings are the key to long-term success. They start working with entry-level listings and average-priced properties, a stage where most agents find themselves comfortable. This phase represents the bulk of real estate agents, who manage to establish a stable business by handling typical buyer and seller transactions. The mantra "list to live" becomes a guiding principle, highlighting the importance of securing property listings to thrive in the competitive market.

However, those who aspire to elevate their business further step into the high-end market, handling properties valued at twice the average sale price. Some agents continue to progress, moving into the luxury market, defined as properties worth three times the average sale price. In major cities, a select few may even venture into the ultra-luxury segment, dealing with properties priced at ten times the average sale price. This journey reflects the continuous growth and ambition that characterize the evolution of a real estate agent, showcasing their ability to adapt and excel in various market segments.
