Today, I’m here to talk about something that is very important for Realtors to prioritize: customer service and gifting. You need to be able to provide top-notch service to your client, as well as the other agent and their client, if you want to succeed, so I’m here to help with that. 

Customer service is all about going above and beyond. Surprise your clients by overdelivering, and that will set you apart. For example, I recently went on a $22.9m listing appointment in Florida and we brought the seller some treats from a local bakery to the listing appointment, and we got the listing! You could offer to bring coffee for them, or anything that they would appreciate. It’s a way to bring value and differentiate.

This is even true if you are helping a homeowner sell their property and are meeting with a buyer and their agent. Offer to bring their favorite beverage, for example, and you can make the agent look like a rock star and help them feel good and want to work with you. I recommend under-promising and over-delivering. 

The crucial benefit of this strategy is that it will help you differentiate yourself. You need to be able to set yourself apart from other agents these potential clients might be seeing. Provide beverages, snacks, something to entertain kids, etc. You will benefit from this simple task. 

This is also something to consider when going to the closing table. I recently invested in a social club that is like a speakeasy, and it gives me a unique place to meet clients and connect with them. If you’re going to meet with multi-millionaire clients, you need to be able to differentiate yourself. One way I’m currently doing this is by offering three bottles of high-end Lamborghini wine, which helps me differentiate myself. The packaging “wows” them and they end up displaying it for others to see.
