Helping Your Sellers Get Top Dollar in a “cooling” market
If you’ve been keeping up with news, you’ve probably heard by now that there’s a lot of downward pressure in the real estate market. Alarming headlines about home prices dropping are making many sellers delay their real estate plans. As an agent, how can you maintain a positive outlook and continue to bring value to your clients?
You’ll need to educate your sellers on how they can get top dollar in a cooling market through videos, data, or conversations. Let them know that first impressions matter. The curb appeal, landscaping, and paint will all contribute to how competitive the home will be in the market. Remind them to also pay attention to the inside of the house to make it attractive to buyers. In short, they have to prep the home in its best possible condition.
