Sometimes as agents, we tend to overcomplicate things. That’s why I want to share today’s message using the ‘K.I.S.S.’ method—Keep It Simple, Stupid. Here’s why homes in the 2020 market won’t sell:
- Price. It doesn’t matter what I think the price ought to be, and it doesn’t matter what you think it ought to be. Ultimately, the market determines price.
- Exposure. Our job as agents is to get more eyeball traffic on the property, thus increasing the probability that people will respond with interest for a showing. If a home isn’t selling, it may be that there’s a lack of exposure.
- Poorly positioned. This is more than just staging; positioning refers to the aspects you as an agent are choosing to accentuate, as well as the aspects you’re downplaying. Make sure you use your discretion to determine the right things to highlight. This is why proper training is essential for agents to perform their best.
